美國麻薩諸塞州特拉佛吉亞公司 (Terrafugia) 推出了全新的飛天概念車！這輛配備有4個可摺疊機翼與兩個電動馬達的車，TF-X，可以自由從垂直變成橫向飛行，並且還擁有300匹馬力引擎。

根據特拉佛吉亞公司表示，動力會從管道式風扇輸出，而這輛飛天車的時速可以到達322公里，續航力到達805公里。飛行車TF-X 可以承載4個人，擁有半手動設計，也有電腦自動駕駛系統，所以乘客可以在起飛前直接輸入目的地。

特拉佛吉亞公司說，他們希望可以提供更真實的「府對府」交通方式，希望飛天車有一天可以像普通車一樣停在車庫裡。

The planned four-person TF-X will be semi-autonmous and use computer-controls so that passengers can simply type in a destination before taking off

今年二月時，特拉佛吉亞公司也發表了一台名為 “ the Transition” 的變形飛車，可以承載2位乘客。售價大約890萬 (美金27萬)。預計今年底上市。

根據特拉佛吉亞公司表示，飛天車的車主需要擁有飛行員執照與駕照，還要有20小時的飛行時數才能駕駛飛天車。

如果你擁有了證件與890萬，那你就可以駕著飛天車前往機場，再從機場跑道直接起飛。特拉佛吉亞公司也希望飛天車 “the Transition” 可以在不降落的情況下持續飛800公里。

TF-X vehicles will be capable of automatically avoiding other air traffic, bad weather, and restricted and tower-controlled airspace. It can also be parked outside a home like an ordinary car

特拉佛吉亞公司表示，最新發表的飛天車TF-X還需要8到12年的時間來研發。

The one-tenth scale model will be tested at the Wright Brothers wind tunnel at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The trials will test everything from the drag, lift and thrust forces of the model

他們希望透過這些科技與產品，可以讓個人飛行變得更安全，也讓更多人可以體驗到。
