麦可杰克森在1987年以6亿台币 (1950万美金) 买下了梦幻乐园，但在购买还有增设设施之后，也让他欠下无力偿还的债务。麦可之后被控在乐园中骚扰儿童，在2005年获判无罪，之后就不再居住于此，直到过世。
