哈里森一家相當細心照顧貝拉，而貝拉同時也跟另外三隻被照顧的小松鼠一起生活。找到她時，狀況不是很好。

In October of 2009, The Harrison family found this baby squirrel all alone and in bad shape.

The best thing about the whole situation was that Bella wasn't the only one of her kind.

Rescuers had treated the poor creature and allowed it to convalesce in Brantley Harrison's home.

照料牠們的布蘭特莉將這些毛孩子飼養在戶外飼養籃中，每天送上水果跟堅果、奶粉，並且等到這些小松鼠痊癒之後，再野放回到大自然，2010年的春天，布蘭特莉評估了牠們的狀態後決定將野放，剛離家一個星期，這群小松鼠們還會回家走走，但漸漸的就不再回家了。

Despite having left the Harrisons, Bella never strays too far from her adoptive human family.

It's safe to say that Brantley's child loves seeing Bella again so they can catch up and play for a bit.

Bella had spent so much time among humans that she actually started to look a bit like them.

Bella wasn't ready to say goodbye to the family that had sheltered her when she was young.

The only thing that the Harrisons didn't really know was what Bella did when she wasn't with them.

Not only was Bella pregnant, but she also had an injured foot that needed tending to.

Eventually, the Harrisons witnessed Bella giving birth to her babies, which was an amazing experience.

Bella is so cute that she's taking social media by storm with her very own Instagram page at @cidandbella.

Squirrels are actually pretty friendly when they're used to people the way Bella is to the Harrisons.

It's been years since Bella and the Harrisons met, but the bond between them remains strong.

Bella doesn't like getting petted by people, but she does love hanging with them quite a lot.

直到有一天，布蘭特莉看見一個熟悉的小身影在門外，仔細一看竟是貝拉！過了幾天，貝拉還是一如往常的出現，甚至還會跟家人互動撒嬌，也跟狗狗們打招呼，連續八年都沒有間斷，「就好像在感恩當年的救命之恩一樣！」幾年前，貝拉一度帶著受傷的小腳出現，哈里森一家正擔心牠傷口之際，更發現牠要當媽媽了，接著就讓貝拉在家安心待產，布蘭特莉感觸很深的表示，「看著自己帶大的小孩也當媽，感覺好神奇。」
