今年21岁的约翰 (John Cronin) 是名唐氏症儿，活泼好动的他，其实是名运动好手，不只热爱足球、保龄球、篮球、雪鞋、田径、曲棍球等，也是特殊奥林匹克运动会 (Special Olympics) 的忠实粉丝。事实上，他也在本月被选为美国雪鞋国家队的候补选手。而每年十一月，他都会参加「北极跳水」(Polar Plunge) 慈善活动，为特殊奥运募款。
另外，他们贩售的袜子也与其他机构合作，例如下面这款上头有着拼图样式的袜子 Autism Awareness Crew Socks，便是为了唤起大家对于自闭症的重视，每卖出一双，便会捐出2块美金给相关机构。
目前，约翰在当地技职高中就读零售与顾客服务相关课程。他的亲友们表示，「这是约翰天生的个性，他很关心留意他人，没有什么事比帮助他人能让她更开心。」
目前他们已经卖出超过一千双袜子，而且生意有越来越好的趋势，即使如此，约翰仍然秉持用心原则，在每一分寄出的商品中，附上亲笔手写的小字卡及糖果！
