《玩命关头》「罗曼」泰瑞斯吉布森 (Tyrese Gibson) 11月1日在脸书PO泪崩影片说要退出《玩命关头9》，还直言「巨石强森毁了整个家庭！」他也在IG上传自己跟巨石强森的合照，扬言「若《玩命关头9》有巨石强森，那就不会有『罗曼』！」
前阵子有消息指《玩命9》档期顺延的原因，是因为巨石强森要主演《玩命》外传，对此泰瑞斯吉布森非常不爽，痛斥巨石强森「毁了这个大家庭」，并指出《玩命》系列电影一直都是想带出家族和团结的重要性，批评巨石强森「无法忍受自己不是片中唯一的巨星。」
他在IG上传自己跟巨石强森和冯迪索的合照，并表示：「看看这张照片，谁用手搂着我的肩膀，谁站在一旁。」
事实上最近泰瑞斯的情绪很低落，因为他正在跟前妻打官司，前妻还控告他虐童并申请保护令，让他2个月来都不能看女儿。根据《TMZ》报导，他会这样气巨石强森，其实是因为如果《玩命9》档期顺延的话，他就无法更早拿到片酬，没办法跟前妻争取女儿监护权的官司，让他心力交瘁。泰瑞斯也写道，「你搞垮这个大家庭和我女儿的去向，我就来搞垮你…」
泰瑞斯否认虐童指控，并指由于前妻的诬告，让他的形象受创，几乎没有工作找他。泰瑞斯也在影片中表示，自己因为频频打官司而花了许多钱，他也气身边的人见死不救没有伸出援手，负面能量爆表。泰瑞斯泪崩影片：

I’m almost out of money……. but I want you to know I’m willing to liquidate and lose it all cause I’m not a Singer, I’m not an actor I’m not a man with material possessions I’m Shaylas FATHER………………………………….
