《紐約郵報》報導，川普太太梅蘭妮(Melania)與10歲小兒子拜倫(Baron)將不會隨川普入住白宮，而是繼續住在曼哈頓的川普大樓內。

過渡團隊的公關總監米勒(Jason Miller)指出，對拜倫來說，前陣子總統競選活動十分難熬，川普夫婦也擔心學期中途轉校會影響拜倫課業，因此打算讓他繼續在原本學校就讀，直到明年六月份學期結束。希望將干擾降到最低。

不過部分居民對此決定感到不滿，認為川普大樓前的示威活動以及安檢交通管制，已導致附近交通擁塞，不希望交通持續惡化。

目前拜倫就讀於紐約市上西區的哥倫比亞文法預備學校(Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School)，學費從44,120美元(約141萬台幣)起跳。
